Dolphins are active in this part of Florida all year-round. At Avi’s Watersports, we’ve been serving the Marco Island area for more than 20 years and we encounter dolphins on a daily basis!
Dolphins are most active and can be often spotted during the cooler hours of the day, particularly early morning and late afternoon.
Although we won’t prohibit you from taking your phone, please note that there is no place to safely store it and you will be bringing it at your own risk. Instead, Avi’s will be happy to provide you with complimentary photos of your excursion.
Interactions with dolphins, including petting, are regulated by laws and regulations to protect the animals. Some places may offer closely supervised interactions, but it is generally discouraged in the wild in order to protect their natural behavior and habitats.
Because there are no lockers, we suggest that you leave personal items such as purses and cell phones behind. Each jet ski has a small storage space for items such as sunscreen. We will be taking pictures for you and we will provide free bottled water.
All of our tours have limited availability so it’s a good idea to reserve your spot as soon as possible.
A light rain will not prevent the tour from happening, but if conditions are extreme or unsafe, the trip will be rescheduled for another time or day.
The average temperature in March averages close to 80℉ for the high and around 60℉ for the low. The chance of rain is fairly low since the more rainy months are in the summer.
Children as young as 5 years old are welcome, but you must be at least 16 years old to operate a jet ski. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The temperature ranges from an average of 64℉ in January to the mid-80s in August.
